Nurse Assistant (CNA) Training Program (Face-to-Face)
This training program consists of a combination of Nurse Assistant theory and lab instruction, as well as hands-on clinical practice at a long-term care facility. Students attend this in-person training according to a predetermined schedule.

Each class allows time for intensive and individualized instruction from an experienced long-term care RN instructor. This training program is delivered in a 10-day face-to-face setting in which full attendance is required to successfully complete the program (see sample training program syllabus for a detailed schedule). Upon completion of the program, students will be eligible to take the state certification exam consisting of both a written and skills test. After passing both portions of the state exam, the student earns the title "Certified Nurse Assistant".

Prerequisites: Please see the sample training program syllabus for important information regarding course prerequisites and other policies.

Participants will complete two (2) 8-hour clinical days as part of the training. Clinical days typically are scheduled to occur the final two days of training, and are held from 6:00AM - 2:30PM at Eventide Heartland Care Center, 620 14th Ave NE, Devils Lake, ND 58301.

A Mantoux test for prior exposure to TB (tuberculosis) must be completed and a copy of results submitted to TrainND Northeast prior to participating in the clinical portion of the class. This may be obtained at your local public health office or your physician's office. Click here for a guide on Mantoux testing.

If you are attending clinicals during the November 1 - March 1 timeframe, it is strongly recommended students are up-to-date with the influenza vaccination.

Cost includes books, training materials, laboratory fees, instruction from an experienced Registered Nurse instructor, and your first attempt at the state CNA exam. Test date is to be determined.
